Figure 2.4 Relationship between the category of mobility status and the 2011 National Household Survey (NHS) question on place of residence five years ago

Description

Figure 2.4 demonstrates the breakdown of Mobility status derived from each check box of the mobility 5 years ago question of the 2011 National Household Survey questionnaire. The out of universe category is directly derived from the 'born after May 10, 2006' check box. The mobility universe is further delineated by mover and non mover (lived at the same address as now). The status 'mover' is again divided into non-migrant (lived at a different address in the same city, town, village, township, municipality or Indian reserve) and migrant. Migrant is again divided into either internal migrant (lived in a different city, town, village, township, municipality or Indian reserve in Canada), or external migrant (lived outside Canada).
