Census geography
Census geography covers a wide range of Canadian geographic areas—from provinces and territories down to blocks. These geographic areas have boundaries, names, and other information that make it possible to locate them on the ground and relate census data to them. Most products have information available for the current and previous censuses.

Spatial information products
Spatial information products provide the shape and location of geographic features. Geographic boundaries and road networks are available for mapping and Geographic Information System (GIS) applications.

Maps
Maps are a visual representation of the world. Statistic Canada census maps show Canada and its geographic areas for which census data are tabulated and disseminated. This category includes static reference and thematic maps as well as the interactive mapping applications GeoSearch and Census Program Data Viewer.

Attribute information products
Attribute information products provide tabular information for use with mapping and Geographic Information System (GIS) applications. Products include GeoSuite, the Geographic Attribute File and correspondence files.

Reference documents
Reference documents help users gain a better understanding of geographic concepts, products and services appropriate to their data needs. This includes reference guides for most geography products that describe the content, applications, data quality and record layouts of their respective product.
