Quick Tutorial for the Census Program Data Viewer
Select an indicator

"Indicator" is the name for a type of census data that is tied to a geographic boundary (or place). In this tutorial, we will choose an indicator from the library of census data available in the CPDV.

What to do

  1. Click the "Indicator" button.

You will be presented with a pop up window.

  2. Click on the arrow to show the list of available topics.

  3. Select the "Population and dwellings" topic from the list provided. Then click next.

A new pop up window will be displayed to select the Indicator.

  4. Click on the arrow to show the list of available indicators.

  5. Select the "Population density per square kilometre" indicator from the list provided. Then click apply.

The CPDV will now be updated to show "Population density per square kilometre" for Provinces and Territories.
