Population, 2016 and 2011 censuses

• In 2016, the enumerated population of Ponoka County (Municipal district) was 9,806, which represents a change of 10.7% from 2011. This compares to the provincial average of 11.6% and the national average of 5.0%.
• The land area of Ponoka County (Municipal district) is 2,814.26 square kilometres and the population density was 3.5 people per square kilometre.
• In 2016, there were 3,535 private dwellings occupied in Ponoka County (Municipal district), which represent a change of 11.4% from 2011.
