• In 2016, the enumerated population of Wood Buffalo census agglomeration (CA) was 73,320, which represents a change of 9.6% from 2011. This compares to the provincial average of 11.6% and the national average of 5.0%.
• The land area of Wood Buffalo is 61,871.37 square kilometres and the population density was 1.2 people per square kilometre.
• In 2016, there were 26,225 private dwellings occupied in Wood Buffalo, which represent a change of 11.4% from 2011.
